Project Description
The biggest challenge was to fit all the necessary elements in a small space, and to hide a sewage pipe in a gypsum wall board, so as to maximise the space available, which we would use for storage.
The introduction of mirrors on both sides of the narrow room suprisingly provides the illusion of larger space which enhances the feeling of comfort and relaxation. The gypsum wall board hides the sewer pipe and merges with the bathtub’s construction, which allows us to integrate the sewage system with the neighbors. Mirrored cabinets for storing cosmetics and cleaning chemicals hides the non-aesthetic components and ensures easy housekeeping.
There is a high radiator above the bathtub hidden in the wall recess. It provides heat while bathing, maintains a dry environment and assists with towel drying. A washing machine was placed next to the washbasin cabinet, under common countertop. There is a frosted glass in a window, which is also fitted with a a Roman blind for additional privacy. On the right side from the entrance to the bathroom we have a mirror at the same height as the cabinets, which gives us a sense of space and visually enlarges the room.
